What is First Time Central Heating

First Time Central Heating grants are part of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4). This part of ECO4 helps low-income households access funding to install central heating. This is a great way to get a central heating system, including a new boiler, pipework, radiators, TRVs and room thermostat along with other energy-efficient home improvements.
First Time Central Heating Grants Qualifying Criteria requires that the new central heating system is installed in domestic premises which are heated using Electric Room Heaters, Electric Storage Heaters or Gas Room heaters and has never had a central heating system before in the property. This grant is designed to help people who live in low-energy properties get the heating they need. The two main aims of the Government's ECO4 to reduce fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions. By installing a new central heating system, you’ll save half of your money on your energy bills, and will be more comfortable in your home.

Benefit of First Time Central Heating?

A gas central heating system can provide many benefits, including low energy bills and the ability to heat a home more efficiently. Another benefit of natural gas is that it’s less expensive as compared to electric heaters and LPG.

First Time Central Heating Grant Eligibility

If you qualify under the ECO4 scheme then all of the cost of First Time Central heating will be covered by the grant. This includes the installation of a brand-new A-rated gas condensing boiler and comprehensive central heating system. For First Time Central Heating Grant, you’ll need to be meet the following eligibility criteria Must have a gas supply before 1st April 2022 Qualifying heating types Electric room heaters, including direct acting room heaters, fan heaters or inefficient electric storage heaters Gas room heaters; including fixed mains gas room heaters Bottled LPG room heating Solid fossil fuel room heaters Wood/biomass room heating Oil room heaters
